Our client:

Our client is a mechanical & civil engineering company specialising in welding, pipework fabrication, civil engineering & pipelines, currently executing major contracts nation-wide for major oil, gas and power-generation companies. Their continued success and recent period of growth necessitates the appointment of a: Receptionist/Administrator.

We are looking for a confident and self-motivated Receptionist/Administrator to join our team on a full-time basis, working Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm (1 hour lunch break). The ideal candidate will be a team player with a can-do attitude. You must have excellent written and clear and concise verbal communication skills with a professional appearance. This is a front facing customer focused role as well as telephone based.
You will be working as part of the Administration/Accounts Department and an interest in Accounts would be advantageous.

Job Responsibilities:
* Meeting and greeting visitors and signing them in and out
* Answering, screening and directing all incoming calls in a timely manner
* Logging all telephone Calls
* Logging all incoming and outgoing mail
* Ensuring all staff and visitors comply with the company’s COVID procedures
* Organising meetings rooms and ensuring refreshments are ready for meetings
* Updating and Maintaining spreadsheets
* Preparing new starter packs
* Checking on levels of cleaning materials and stationery supplies
* Updating the sub-contractor register
* Topping up the Franking Machine
* Administration and Accounts tasks as and when required
* Adopting a flexible and adaptable approach at all times when dealing with adhoc duties as required

Preferred Skills:
* Proficient with MS Office software
* Excellent customer service skills with a professional telephone manner
* Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
* An interest in accounting
* Sage experience (Training can be given)
