Temporary Accommodation Officer (Tenancy Sign-Up)

I am recruiting for a local authority who is seeking a motivated and customer-focused individual to join the team as a Temporary Accommodation Tenancy Sign-Up Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering an efficient and proactive sign-up service for tenants, ensuring compliance with national and corporate policies, procedures, and statutory legislation. You will play a crucial role in understanding and meeting the needs of our customers while maintaining a positive and professional image.
Responsibilities:
Provide excellent customer service by effectively engaging with tenants, including vulnerable or challenging individuals.
Work collaboratively as part of a team to contact tenants via phone or email to facilitate the sign-up process for new online licence agreements.
Offer welfare advice and support tenants in applying for the housing costs element of Universal Credit, if required.
Utilize our digital sign-up system, Nitro, to assist tenants in completing their Enfield Let tenancy or licence agreements.
Ensure timely email notifications are sent to revenue and other internal departments to facilitate the processing of benefits.
Possess a good understanding of both Universal Credit and housing benefit systems.
Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with tenants and internal stakeholders.
